8/24-Thursday Announcements

After school activities for today are a cheerleading clinic for the 6th, 7th and 8th graders from 3:30 until 5PM at the 6th grade center cafeteria. 7th/8th graders meet in front foyer and will walk over to 6th grade center with Mrs. Richards. 6th graders meet in your cafeteria. Volleyball game Navy team against Aurora Washington, 7th grade at 6th grade center gym, 8th grade at Aurora and football game against Sycamore, 7th grade at home and 8th grade at Sycamore.

Congrats to the Gold volleyball team on their first win of the season against Rotolo! Great start ladies, keep up the good work!! Thanks to BobbiAnn for reminding me to do this announcement!!

Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.  FCA, otherwise known as Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be starting up very soon.  We are looking for leaders in this club.  If you are interested in obtaining an application for leadership, please contact Mrs. Potter if you are in 6th grade room-220, Mr. Petersen for 7th graders room-106, and Mrs. Russell if you are in 8th grade (mobile 15).  Don’t wait!!!

All middle school student that will be attending any high school home football game must have their ID and be accompanied by a parent to enter the football game.

Auditions for the Fall Play are next Monday after school in the orchestra room in the 7/8th center. Pick up an audition packet in the main office. Email Mrs. Pogge with questions. sandra.sebolt-pogge@d303.org

Next Thursday, August 31st, Thompson will have its first Technology Student Association meeting!  What is TSA?  We have fun designing and building all kinds of things from water rockets, to battlebots to dragsters!  This club is open to all grades, and will meet in room 146 of the 7/8 building of Thompson on Thursdays from 3:40 to 4:20.  Please email Mr. Hensel with any questions. eric.hensel@d303.org

The Thunder Cross Country team opened their season last night against Wredling.  The girls lost a close race, while the boys were victorious.  Congrats to all of the runners.
