9/11-Monday Announcements

Two major hurricanes have hit parts of the United States and have left some areas devastated.  We here at Thompson can do our part to help.  We are raising money for the Red Cross during your lunch hour.  If you would like to help please consider donating to the Red Cross container in the cafeteria.  

Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders: Do you like helping others? H.O.P.E club will be having an informational meeting on Tuesday September, 12th from 3:45-4:30 pm at the 6th Grade Campus Rm 222. Come meet some H.O.P.E members from North High School and enjoy a sweet treat! See Mrs. Gutshall or Ms. Russell if you have any questions.

Attention all 6th grade students interested in Chess.  Mrs. Brewick will meet you on Tuesday, September 12 outside of the 6th grade main office between 3:35-3:40.  She will then lead you over to the 7th/8th grade building and introduce you to Mr. Otterby.

The first Chess Club meeting for all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will be Tuesday, September 12, after school in the back of the LRC of the 7th/8th grade center at 3:40.  See you there!

TSA will continue to work on their water rockets in room 146 on Thursday from 3:40 to 4:25.  Please see Mr. Hensel with any questions.

Math Club starts Thursday September 14th.  We have a meeting before school from 7:45 to 8:15 and a meeting after school from 3:40 until 4:15. The meeting will be in room 225 at the 7th and 8th grade building.  If you like math puzzles, to be challenged by math problems, or just learn new thing you will like math club.  See your math teacher for more information.  Did you know that Valentine's Days is just five months from the first math club meeting?  I did that for all you math lovers. :)

Calling all creative writers!  Thompson Types, a creative writing club, will begin meeting this coming Thursday in the 6th grade center LRC from 3:40-4:30.  Come with your friends, enjoy writing without the pressure of due dates and grades.  Treats will be provided!

6th, 7th, and 8th grade students interested in Dance troupe, if you did not make the meeting you can pick up informational packets from the office or email Miss Shield. Practice starts Friday!

After school activities for today are Volleyball Gold team against Aurora Washington, 7th grade at Aurora and 8th grade at the 7th/8th grade center.

Tomorrow morning in the 6th grade center is Bella Voice at 7:15am and Homework Lab at 7:45am room-118. In the 7th/8th grade center is Boys in Black at 7am and the Student Council Informational meeting at 7:45am in room 126.
