News for Today

Today is National Custodian Day, the quiet heroes of our school. They are always the first to arrive each day, cleaning up messes no one dares to touch! Please thank your custodian if you see them today! Thank you Larry, Fidel, Letica, Rich, Candido and Bill, we appreciate all you do for us and our school!

TSA will meet on Thursday at 3:40 to 4:25 in room 146 of the 7/8  building to put the final touches on their water rockets.  If you’ve already finished your rocket, you don’t need to attend.  Please see Mr. Hensel with any questions.

The Cross Country team competed at the Yorkville Fox Trot Invite on Saturday.  As a team, the Thunder finished in the top 5 in all of the races.  Great job, runners.

Any 6th, 7th, 8th grade student up for a challenge needs to participate in Science Club!  Science Club will meet on Tuesday, October 3 from 3:40 - 4:30 in room 129 of the 7th/8th grade center.  Be ready for a mystery challenge and bring a friend!  Solve the mystery and earn a TREAT!

This week is the Fox River Prairie Conference Volleyball Tournament, Good Luck Thunder!

After school activities for today is Show Choir in 7/8 center, Football against Yorkville 7th at Yorkville 8th at Home. Tomorrow morning in the 6th grade center is Bella Voce, Student Council & Homework Lab, in the 7th/8th grade center is Boys In Black, Yearbook Club & Student Council.

If you did not participate during Football season cheer, but would like to participate in Basketball Season cheer, there will be an informational meeting tomorrow at the 7th/8th grade center at 7:55 in Room M16 and 10/4 at the 6th grade center at 7:55 in Room 215.   

On this Thursday night, the PTO is sponsoring Jump Jam night at Epic Air in South Elgin.  Come for the fun from 7-9pm for only $14!
