Fellowship of Christian Athletes is meeting today, after school, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in Mr. Petersen’s room. Hope to see you!

Eleven members of the Thompson Chess team competed in the K-8 state tournament this weekend.  The team just missed a top ten finish in state, ending up in a tie for 11th place.  All eleven players scored at least 1 point in the tournament. Great job to the entire team for such a great performance.

Did you know there's a sport that combines the best elements of football, soccer, & basketball?  It's called Ultimate Frisbee, and it has arrived in St. Charles. The St. Charles Middle School Ultimate Frisbee Club will have an informational meeting on Tuesday morning.  Come to the 7th/8th grade center gym at 7:55 to learn more about the club and sign up for the upcoming spring season.

Come explore the world of Non-Newtonian fluids and polymers this Tuesday, March 13, in Science Club.  We will meet in room 129 from 3:40-4:20.

In honor of National Reading Month, the two middle school LRC’s are hosting a Bookmark Throwdown. Thompson and Wredling want YOU to put your artistic or graphic talents to the test by creating an original bookmark that promotes a love for reading. Be creative, be colorful… the winning bookmarks from each school will be professionally printed and distributed at BOTH schools. There will be two categories, hand-drawn or digitally designed. Teachers from each middle school will vote on the winning bookmarks. And the winner(s) will receive the prestige of their bookmark representing their school across the river.  Bookmark forms can be picked up in the LRC. The Bookmark Throwdown will run from March 5 through March 16. Winners will be announced Friday, March 23. Come on Thunder… It’s time to make YOUR mark!

Attention all students- Student Council is sponsoring an open gym on Friday, March 16th from 3:30-5:30.  6th grade students will report to the 6th grade center gym and 7th and 8th grade students will report to the 7th/8th grade center gym.  The cost is $2 and you must have your school ID. Business club will be selling refreshments for purchase. Come join us for some fun!
