7/8th Grade Center: Did you know? More than 4 in 10 people who begin drinking before age 15 eventually become alcoholics. Your future is too important to ruin it with drug use. HOPE club wants to thank everyone who participated in Red Ribbon Week.

We are excited to announce a new club at Thompson: Spanish Club! All 6th and 7th grade students can join Spanish Club to learn about culture, history, holidays, food, and more. You do not need to have any Spanish experience. We will have food and enjoy hands on activities to learn about many different Spanish speaking countries. We will meet on Tuesdays at the 6th Grade Center, Room 109 from 3:40-4:30. The first meeting will be on Tuesday, November 7th. Please see Mrs. Wright if you have any questions.

The first practice for the 7th and 8th grade Club Basketball team will be Thursday, November 2nd, from 7 - 8 a.m. at the 7th/8th Center.  Please see one of the basketball coaches with any questions.

The 8th grade Navy “A” basketball team defeated Geneva North last night in their first game of the season.  The Thunder played great defense all game to secure the win.  Great job team!

TMS 7/8 Honor Band Students: Just a one-time reminder that we have rehearsals Monday and Wednesday before school next week.  Please be at both and be set up by 7:30am in the band room.  Our concert on November 7th at North H.S. is fast approaching.

Looking for something fun to do tonight or tomorrow night?  Come see the the fall play, Captain Dangerous and many other entertaining skits. The performances will be tonight and Saturday from 7-8 PM in the 7th/8th Grade Center gym. The cost is $3 for students and teachers are free!

Hey 6th graders, please check your email! There is a special invitation from Mrs. Van Sickle to join us in the LRC for our Book Cafe. Details are in the email, so please be sure to read them carefully, and we hope to see you at our Book Cafe starting this Friday!
