News for Today

The 8th grade A Navy basketball team played a great game last night vs. Rotolo Gold.  The Thunder played hard all game but came up just short, losing by two points.  Great team effort!

The 7th grade B Navy basketball team played tough defense against Rotolo Gold last night.  It was a back and forth battle, but was won by Batavia with a last second three.

Thompson 7-8 Honor Band students there is a required Concert at St. C. North High School tonight.  Arrive no later than 6:30pm.  Meet in the choir room.  Concert begins at 7pm followed by the High School Band.

Science club meets TODAY after school in room 129 of the 7/8 center!  All are invited to learn about bunsen burners and why chemicals react they way they do when put into the flame of the bunsen burner!

Thompson 7-8 Jazz Lab students.  There is rehearsal for all Jazz Lab participants after school from 3:30-4:15pm!

Attention all 6th and 7th graders! Today is the day! Come join us for Spanish Club beginning today after school. We will meet in the 6th grade building in room 109. You do not have to know any Spanish. Come learn about different Spanish speaking countries through activities and food. Join the fun! See Mrs. Wright if you have any questions.

It is the season of giving and gratitude...please consider donating needed items to Lurieś Childrens Hospital and Ronald McDonald Houses in our area. Please see posters and flyers for a list of goods. Donation boxes are in the Main Office, the LRC, and Room 232. There are raffle prizes for donating!

Good morning Thompson Art Club! We are meeting this Wednesday November 8th after school- both club groups - at each 6th & 7-8 centers. See you then!!

H.O.P.E Club Members: There will be a HOPE Club meeting on Wednesday, November 8th after school from 3:45 to 4:30 in Room 222 at the 6th Grade Building. We will be taking our club photo so wear your HOPE Shirt!

Be sure to visit the Thompson 6th Grade Center Book Fair running from Tuesday, November 14  through Monday, November 20th in the Learning Resource Center.  Hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tuesday through Friday, and all day on Monday, November 20 from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm for Parent-Teacher Conferences.  Remember: books make EXCELLENT holiday gifts...they don’t get stale before they arrive.

6th Grade Book Cafe is cancelled for this Thursday, but we are still scheduled to meet on Friday, so bring your appetite for some good literature!
