News for Today

Attention sixth, seventh, and eighth graders... September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and Builders club needs your help!  Donate $1 this Friday and participate in pajama day! All money will be donated to Camp Out From Cancer, a local organization that gives camping care packages to children battling cancer. Don’t forget to wear your pajamas on Friday!

Last night the 7th grade Navy and Gold volleyball teams battled for the win.  It was a nailbiter  with amazing effort by everyone. In the end Navy took the win for both the A and B teams.  Way to play ladies!

In the first ever meeting between the 8th grade Navy and Gold volleyball teams, the girls from both teams put on quite a show.  In the end, the Gold teams pulled out the victory at both the A and B level.  Thanks to all who showed up for this historic first meeting!

Today after school is the Volleyball Navy game against Yorkville, 7th at home 8th at Yorkville, Art Club will also meet today! This is an informational meeting only. The meeting will be in the 6th gr center, in room #110 - from 3:40 till 4:00pm. Looking forward to seeing you there!! Thunder News Club will be meeting from 3:40 to 4:45pm in Mrs. Gupta’s classroom mobile 22.  Please bring your permission slips with you.

Tomorrow morning in the 6th grade center is Homework Lab, in the 7th/8th grade center is Concert Choir and Business Club at 7:45 in Room 131.

Chess Club meets tomorrow in the back of the LRC.  See you there!

Attention all 7th and 8th grade band students: Holiday Rock Band will have its first practice tomorrow after school from 3:30 to 4:15. Holiday Rock band plays holiday music as well as rock and pop songs. No audition is needed, just show up tomorrow after school.

Don’t forget about pajama day...this Friday! A $1 donation will go to Camp out From Cancer.

Join H.O.P.E Club on Monday, October 2nd by wearing a blue shirt to school in support of STOMP OUT BULLYING WORLD PREVENTION DAY.

If you did not participate during Football season cheer, but would like to participate in Basketball Season cheer, there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, 10/3 at the 7th/8th grade center at 7:55 in Room M16 and 10/4 at the 6th grade center at 7:55 in Room 215.
