Attention 6th, 7th, and 8th graders! Fill out your Operation Snowflake registration forms today! Our annual event will take place on Friday, February 23rd from 3:30 to 9pm at Wredling! Anyone from Thompson and Wredling can attend. The cost is $20 which includes your dinner, snacks, games/activities and a t-shirt. Don’t hesitate, sign up today! This is an event that you do NOT want to miss!!

Student Council needs your help with our “Give from the Heart” food drive for the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Are you ready to give from the heart? Student Council hopes you are! ! Our goal this year is to donate 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food.  If each student and staff could donate 2 items we could reach our goal. PLEASE bring in as many cans, boxes, bags of nonperishable food items as possible. We will be collecting food from February 5th through the 16th. Please bring food items to your team leader and put them in the designated boxes. Thompson Gives From the Heart!!

The Thompson Culinary Competition team kicked off yesterday afternoon with a DELISH tasting party.  We had sweet desserts, spicy main dishes and mouth watering salad.  The official team roster will be announced on Tuesday Morning next week.  Students MUST turn in a typed recipe and permission slip TODAY.  Please include t-shirt size on your entry form.  This will be THE BEST YEAR EVER.  Next meeting is THURSDAY, February 8th from 3:30 - 4:15 at the 7th/8th center in the FACS room.- We will plan a table setting and take notes from our tasting party feed back.

Attention 6th grade HOPE members, we will be making posters for prevention week Monday Feb 5th after school until 4:15 pm. Please have a ride to pick you up and check the February Calendar for an updated meeting schedule.

Guess what Thunder? The votes are in and the winner of the 2017 MOCK Newbery Book of the year is “See You In the Cosmos” by Jack Cheng. Check out a copy now in the LRC and stay tuned as we wait to see if it wins the ACTUAL Newbery Award on Feb. 12th.

7th/8th Grade Center: Congratulations to the 7th Grade Girls Basketball Navy B team on their first win against St. Pats last night! Great Job!
